I already have a domain and a basic website, can I still sign up to BandBupdates?

YES. We can easily transfer your existing domain across to BandBupdates and install the software. It is just a question of getting the company you registered the domain through to change its DNS servers to ns1.safeukdns.net and ns2.safeukdns.net. We are happy to help with this process.

I don't yet have a website for my bed and breakfast how do I get a website address?

We are currently offering a free domain name (website address) to each of our customers when they sign up. On the Order page on the right hand side you will see a section "Check Domain Availability". Type in your desired website address and see if is still available, if so let us know what it is, and we will register it for you for FREE. If your bed and breakfasts name has already been taken why not try something like "townnameguesthouse.com" which will also help your search engine rankings when people look for a guest house in your town.

I already have a webhost that I am committed in a contract to, can I still sign up to BandBupdates?

YES, whilst we are currently unable to install our software on other webhosts, our Web Hosting price is just £35 per year, a small price to pay to upgrade to a BandBupdates website. Get your domain DNS server transferred and just let your old contract lapse.

How long does it take to get set up?

It takes approximately a week, to register your domain name and get the software installed. Then if you are on the Bronze package it should only take you a few hours to get up and running with a fully functional website all you need to do is choose your colour scheme, upload any photos and write your text. If you are on the Gold or Silver package we aim to get your website live within 2-4weeks depending on our order backlog.

What if I want to change my domain name?

If you are already a customer we can do this for you very easily and will just pass on the cost of registering the new domain. We can also help you set up any forwards so that all your domains point to the same website if desired. If you are a new customer and we have already processed your order unfortunately we cannot change the domain name, but we can register a new one for a small administrative fee.

I am not very confident with the internet, how simple is it really to set up my website?

Our software has been designed to be as simple as possible to use, and we already have lots of customers with limited experience of computers and the internet who have successfully built their website through us. However if you are really uncertain why not consider upgrading to our Silver or Gold Package where we will do the complicated bits for you.
